International Coastal Clean-up Day – Saturday!

On my beach walk this morning I noticed the large amount of trash that had washed up on the beach during the last several days.  With some high northeast winds over the past days, the full moon and the high surf, the debris seemed to be overwhelming.  It’s a part of my daily routine to pick up trash while enjoying the beach as it is several others who are daily beach goers.

Tomorrow, September 21, 2013 is International Coastal Clean-up Day, organized by the Ocean Conservancy. Please join the efforts to clean up the coast in your area or consider a donation to support their many marine efforts including saving sea turtles. And refer to my article for 7 ways to make your next beach outing more eco-friendly.
