The inaugural World Forest Day was observed yesterday, March 21. Many of us missed this event because we were just not aware of it. In the future all three days from March 21-23 will recognize the global importance of our trees, our water and our energy consumption and how these are contributing to climate change.
Today is World Water Day which is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. When you turn on the water today think about 783 million people globally who do not have access to safe water.
