How To Pick The Greenest Christmas Tree

Photo: Smith and Hawken

The debate goes on…which is greener a live Christmas tree or an artificial tree that may be imported?  Personally I have one “tree” that is more like a thick branch with a spiral branch swirling around it, a small, artificial tree from China and another small, artificial tree that I do not remember the origin.

I don’t have all my little trees up and honestly, after reading this article I will be disposing of my artificial trees or setting them up outside.  I thought all of my trees were “green” because I have had them for decades, but not necessarily.  Next year I will pick up a rosemary tree or a small live tree and do things differently.
