City of Dunedin achieves FGBC Gold Certification with highest score!

The City of Dunedin has achieved the gold-level Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) Green Local Government certification. Originally certified in 2007 at the silver level, Dunedin recently earned 47 percent of the maximum applicable points and now holds the highest score achieved by any city, matched only by Sarasota County.  Congratulations to the City of Dunedin!  To view a summary of Dunedin’s green achievements click here…

Dunedin joins the Cities of Jacksonville, Orlando, South Daytona, Palm Coast, Plantation, Tallahassee, Tamarac, Tampa and Winter Park in achieving the FGBC Gold certification.  Indian River, Martin, Orange, Sarasota and St. Lucie Counties have also been awarded the FGBC Gold Certification.

The Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) has long been a leader in climate-specific green building standards and certifications. To date, more than 3,100 homes have been certified across the state, making the program the most successful in Florida.
