This year’s Solar Decathlon in Washington, DC ended with the University of Maryland’s Watershed house as the winner in Architecture! I first wrote about the contest last week, complete with the slideshow of houses in the competition. The University of Maryland’s house highlighted water usage as well as solar. The grey-water was filtered by bog plants and supplied water around the exterior of the house highlighting healthy landscape plants and an edible garden.
