“Recycling is No Joke” Video Contest Begins

Keep America Beautiful, a National nonprofit organization, is holding the first-ever America Recycles Day “Recycling is No Joke” video contest, open to contestants of all ages, to help celebrate the annual nationwide event aimed at increasing recycling awareness and efforts.  First prize is $1000, second is $500 for a one-minute, original video about recycling!  The top 10 videos will be uploaded to youtube.com and the public will vote for the best one!

What a fantastic opportunity for kids and young people!  If your kids are in a class maybe you can tell their teacher about the contest and encourage a class project.  How cute would it be for 7, 8 or 10 year olds to show everyone about recycling??

The deadline for video submissions is Friday, October 21st.  Earth911.com is helping to promote the event with a video and link to the official rules.  Click here to watch the video and follow their link to the official rules.  And while you are on the site check out the resources for teachers!  I am looking forward to seeing the winning video in November and posting it on this site.
