Is the caramel color of sodas, beer, etc. a Carcinogen?

Apparently there is quite a debate about the new “synthetic” caramel coloring used in sodas, beer, soy sauces and many other foods.  The original method of making caramel was abandoned by many companies years ago when higher production became more important than ingredients.  Read the article about the grass-roots movement and the scientists backing this research….
