Seventh Generation “green washing” their cleaning products?

Well, how appropriate the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau is investigating another company “green washing” their products. NAD told Seventh Generation to remove some internet and video advertising with false claims of being 100% natural with no hazardous chemicals.  Their products do contain hazardous chemicals and supposedly are no safer than other cleaning products from other companies.   We will probably see more companies having to clean up their advertising as companies are “green washing” products for profit as I call it.  I, for one, was caught up in the pretty packaging and the ads in some of the magazines I read.  I just switched from Mrs. Meyers cleaning products to try Seventh Generation and am guilty of not reading the label…lesson learned!  Read more…
