As someone who loves to eat and, even more, loves to create new recipes, I spend a lot of time reading about food and nutrition. I developed this passion for creating recipes once I began learning more about being a “Locavore” for a seminar presentation this past January.
Every Saturday I go to my local Farmers’ Market and buy one or two vegetables that are foreign to me, yet locally grown. I research this new veggie on the internet and look at various recipes and reader reviews. After reading a while I try my newly discovered vegetable plain and then start creating my own version. From this my passion has evolved for creating healthy meals. Frequently friends will say “it’s too much work to cook for one” which is probably true if you just cook the same old thing so you have some food.
